What Drives Me - And How I Can Help You
I am trained in the courtroom by one of the greatest trial lawyers of all time, Gerry Spence. Mr. Spence dedicates his life to exposing the power structures that permeate our society. I model my practice after his teachings, philosophies and aspirations - for indeed, he and I share many common beliefs.
I am motivated by passion and a desire for a more just society. I am tired of seeing people being taken advantage of by the insurance industry, greedy corporations and unethical lawyers. I am tired of an overreaching criminal justice system that harshly judges ordinary, good folks in the form of lengthy jail sentences.
Personal Injury
I am angry that the insurance industry and corporate greed reign supreme, instead of an honest outlook geared toward helping those that insurance companies promise to help. The fact that the insurance industry reaps tens of billions of dollars in profits every month through broken promises is beyond offensive. That the insurance industry uses its power to drive innocent victims into submission is what fuels my passion. While the insurance industry can outspend me, they cannot outwill me, and my desire to protect innocent folks in times of great need and vulnerability.
Do you realize there are over 305,000,000 Americans? Let's assume there are only 100,000,000 car insurance policies. (State Farm brags about its 47,000,000 insured drivers and data show there are 250,000,000 cars and trucks on the road). Now let's assume that each policy is only $100 per month. Do you realize that at these conservative figures the insurance industry rakes in an astounding $10,000,000,000 per month in car insurance policies alone? The promise from the insurance company is that it uses this money to compensate the person who is injured; this is why we all are required by law to buy car insurance.
When one of its insured's negligently causes a crash, the insurance company will inevitably deny or delay the claim with deception. They will hire lawyers that insinuate that their insured was not at fault, or that the injured person is a liar and not really hurt. They will delay the claim until it goes away. Through its propaganda machine, the insurance industry has duped the public into believing there is a wave of frivolous lawsuits, by a lying public and greedy lawyers. What is worse, because insurance will never be mentioned in a jury trial, jurors will never know that this insidious deception is at play. This is exactly why I do what I do, and strive to be a trial lawyer who can break through this deception. All I want is for the insurance industry to be accountable for what it promises to do; fairly and adequately compensate those they promise to help.
Criminal Defense
In addition to helping those needlessly injured by others and their battle against the insurance company, I am also dedicated to those who find themselves ensnared in the criminal "justice" system. This country has embarked on a social experiment, tied to incarcerating a huge segment of its population. Do you know that America has only 5 percent of the world's population, yet we have 25 percent of the world's incarcerated population? I am perplexed as to why we use vast resources to punish each other, when education, counseling and mentoring is less expensive and far more effective.
I am perplexed that for every city in this country, the money dedicated to the police departments and jails far exceeds that which we dedicate to schools and programs geared toward educating those in need. What is worse, those who are incarcerated are released back into society in far worse shape than when they went in. This huge segment of the population is primed to "reoffend" and the cycle is not only unbroken, it is accelerated.

Why I Am The Right Lawyer For Your Personal Injury Case
For the past 19 years, I have diligently worked on my trade so that I can practice law at the highest possible level. The results I obtain for my clients cannot be disputed, for they represent some of the most successful settlements and verdicts around.
I carefully and selectively screen my cases so that I do not get ensnared in frivolous lawsuits. Almost all of my cases are driven by the frivolous defense of the insurance industry refusing to pay what it once promised to pay. I handle cases all over the country, and have a wide range of experience.
I am supported by skilled paralegals so that together we help our clients. Being good in court is one thing, but by far the most important work is before a case is filed. The paper work is often overwhelming. Unless an outstanding support cast supports a lawyer, that lawyer will never be able to effectively advocate for their client.
Often, my clients do not like lawyers. Often, my clients do not believe in "suing" other people. Inevitably, these folks call me because their meager request that their medical bills get paid is met with denial and deception.
Incredibly, it is not unusual for the insurance company to cast aspersions that these good people, who are critically hurt, are actually lying to scam the system and steal. Needless to say this is part of the fraud that the insurance industry uses to rob this country blind.
I believe that all of us - me, you, our state and our country - can do better today than what we did yesterday. I believe that we must learn from our mistakes. I believe that we must be accountable for our actions and that we must hold others accountable for theirs. By holding the insurance industry accountable for its choice, I believe that we will force it to operate fairly and provide the help that it promises. If we stand up to these tactics, and hold the industry accountable, then and only then will it stop taking advantage of the very people they promised to help.
